A cosmetic product to be put on the market in Europe must be registered in the portal named CPNP (Cosmetic Products Notification Portal) by the Responsible Person before it is put on the market.

The Responsible Person shall make a notification to the Commission through the CPNP portal containing the following information.

• The category, name and description of the cosmetic product,
• Name and address of the Responsible Person, the address where the Product Information File can be easily accessed,
• Country of importation,
• Countries where the product will be placed on the market,
• Information of the person to be contacted when necessary,
• If the product contains nanomaterial, definitions such as the IUPAC name of this nanomaterial and the information specified and requested to be given in the sections from Annex 2 to Annex 6 of the Regulation, the predictable exposure amount,
• CAS and Regulation (EC) No. EC numbers of CMR substances in categories 1A and 1B under Chapter 3 of Annex 6 to 1272/2008,
• When a cosmetic product takes its place in the market, the Responsible Person Commission should be informed about labeling and packaging.
