ANTI-AGING ANTIOXIDANTS AND THEIR BENEFITS

In my previous article, I told you about the risks that free radicals pose to our health and the fight that antioxidant systems naturally found in the human mechanism wage to protect our health, youth and beauty. With each age, this magnificent system unfortunately slows down and loses its power over time. That's why more antioxidants need to be taken with aging. Therefore, what I want to talk about is the benefits of antioxidants and where and how we can supply them.

Remember, our body is entrusted to us, and we are entrusted to our body. For this reason, we must learn to walk together in lifelong cooperation.

First of all, you should know that there are two types of antioxidants. Vitamins, antioxidants and nonvitamin antioxidants.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E, which is fat-soluble, is found in all cell membranes and protects polyunsaturated fatty acids from oxidation.

Alphatocopherol, its most effective form, is an excellent moisturizer as it increases the softness and smoothness of the skin. It also has photoprotective and anticarcinogenic effects.

It is mostly found in wheat, rice, corn, soy, peanuts, seeds, sunflower oil, corn oil, cottonseed oil and olive oil.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C (ascorbate) is an important antioxidant found in the body's extracellular fluids, soluble in water, and neutralizes free radicals formed in the cell by donating electrons.

Since it cannot be synthesized in the body, it must be taken externally through food.

It is mostly found in citrus fruits, broccoli, green peppers, green leafy vegetables, strawberries and tomatoes. The most commonly used forms of vitamin C in cosmetics are L-ascorbic acid and its ester form, ascorbyl palmitate.

vitamin B3

Vitamin B3 is a member of the B vitamin group, which has eight types. Vitamin B3, which is necessary for a healthy brain and beautiful skin, is a very important anti-aging antioxidant.

B complex vitamins are essential for healthy skin, hair, eyes and liver. Additionally, it helps the nervous system functions properly. It is mostly found in meat, fish, nuts, liver and grains.

The reason why it is frequently used in cosmetic preparations is that its benefits to the skin are countless.

Carotenoids

Carotenoids, known as precursors of vitamin A, reduce the formation rate of harmful hydrogen peroxides by participating in free radical reactions with their antioxidant activities.

Vitamin A and carotenoids are mostly found in light-colored fruits and vegetables such as carrots, pumpkins, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, melons, peaches and apricots.

Coenzyme Q10 (Ubiquinone)

Coenzyme Q10, a vitamin-like antioxidant that is known to prevent the formation of arteriosclerosis and fights against free radicals, needs vitamin B6 to be formed in the body.

It is mostly found in red meat, chicken, soybeans, almonds, vegetables and fruits.
