‘Güzel Kokmak Da Güzelliğin Bir Parçasıdır’ başlıklı, geçtiğimiz hafta yayımlanan yazımın ilk bölümünde sizlere parfümlerin varoluş hikayelerinden ve geçmişten bugüne insan hayatındaki öneminden bahsetmiştim. Bugünkü yazımdaysa işinize
yarayacak, pratik bilgiler vereceğim. İşte parfümle ilgili farkındalık yaratacak bazı ipuçları…
True perfume myth
There is a misconception known as the 'correct perfume' among the people. Under the nose, there is a search for perfumes and quality perfumes that are compatible with the skin. Because when the right perfume is called, the two most powerful questions to be asked remain unanswered: 'According to what?' and 'According to whom?'... For this reason, the scent that you think represents you best is the point to focus on.
John Oakes has a very nice saying: “When choosing a perfume, you shouldn't fall in love at first sight. Because sometimes it's disappointing. Gorgeous packaging, eye-catching bottles and famous names do not make that perfume the love of your life. The important thing is that a perfume has a sudden effect on you, rings all the bells and seduces you.” This is your soul's wink at familiarity. It describes you. He is the one who carries parts of you and carries you best. Because perfume is kind of your signature.
It's like your fingerprint
The flora of each skin type is different, so the scents that perfumes emit from the moment they meet the skin also differ. That's why perfume is as unique and unique as your fingerprint. It's just for you.
I would like to share with you another valuable information I learned during my training on perfume in France. As we move from one to another among the thousands of scents or perfume compounds that surround us and think about which one is our favourite, our noses are already tired and we cannot distinguish between scents. In order to get rid of this situation, which we call nasal fatigue, the nasal mucosa must be cleaned from the odor molecules that have been taken so far. Different methods are recommended for cleaning the mucosa from odor molecules, and coffee comes first. However, coffee, which consists of a single type of odor molecule, causes the mucosa to be covered with a kind of molecule again, and thus causes a perception difference in odor. Instead of breathing fresh air, sniffing the inside of your elbow or smelling your hair, it will be more helpful to perceive the true identities of other perfumes you will try.
Persistence is in your hands
If you are satisfied with the smell of your perfume but wish it to last longer, you should first get to know it. Because perfumes are diversified depending on the concentration mixtures.
In general, perfumes are classified in three stages: Extrait de Parfum, Eau de Parfum and Eau de Toilette. Extrait de Parfum is the most lasting fragrance with a 20-40 percent perfume essence concentration. Depending on its compatibility with your skin, seasonal conditions and the notes it contains, it can accompany your skin for 4-8 hours without the need for renewal. Eau de Parfum, on the other hand, contains 10-30 percent concentration and provides less permanence than essence perfume. Eau de Toilette constitutes the lightest fragrance group with a concentration range of 5-10 percent and has less permanence performance.
For the permanence of perfumes, we must first know this definition, but then we can introduce tricks that can support their permanence performance. For example, textiles, that is, our clothes, are successful in conservatism. Another support is your hair. In addition, your perfume, which you will apply to the warm and secluded parts of the so-called 'pulsepoint' zones, where the veins are closest to the skin, will smell better and will be more permanent.
Wishing you to stay with beautiful scents, may your beauty be forever...
